Game Day: BU vs BC- the rivalry renewed


Terriers take on BC at Agganis Arena tonight, seeking to erase the memory of back-to-back losses to the Eagles in December. The game is a 7:30 p.m. start and will air on NESN.

Senior co-captain Joe Pereira scored in both of the December games and scored his team-leading 10th goal of the season against Harvard last weekend.

Both teams enter the game coming off a loss. Third-ranked BC lost to Maine, 4-1, last Sunday, while BU was edge by Merrimack, 3-2, on Tuesda.

Kieran Millan gets the start in goal. Here's the rest of the Terrier lineup, which includes a few changes from the past two games.

Looking back
Dave Van der Gulik, recovered from a knee injured suffered during his stint with the Colorado Avalanche in November, scored for David Quinn’s Lake Erie Monster in a 2-1 win over Rochester.

John Curry turned aside 23 of 24 shots as first-place Wilkes Barre/Scranton beat Syracuse, 4-1.

Colin Wilson scored his 12th goal of the season (video link) on a backhander in Nashville’s 5-1 win against Colorado. Kevin Shattenkirk picked up his 17th assist for the Avs on a pretty centering pass.

Women’s team
Riding a 10-game winning streak, the first-place Terriers are on the road this weekend for a 2 p.m. matchup with Vermont on Saturday. Just prior to the streak, BU had tied the Catamounts twice, 1-1 and 2-2, at Agganis Arena.
