Terriers take on one of their oldest rivals, Harvard, although at an unfamiliar time of the season. Non-Beanpot meetings with Harvard had traditionally taken place on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, but this season’s schedule provides an opportunity for BU and Harvard to face off twice in a month, depending on how the first round of next month’s Beanpot Tournament goes. The teams first played in 1922 and the series record stands at in BU’s favor.

Harvard has struggled this season with a 3-11 record overall and is coming of three consecutive losses. The bright spot for the Crimson has been the play of goalie Kyle Richter, who has a 2.98 GAA and a .907 save percentage. It’s top scorer is junior Alex Killorn with 13 points.

Terriers will be without Max Nicastro, who is serving a one-game suspension resulting from the misconduct penalty he drew in the Vermont game.

Tonight’s game at Agganis Arena begins at 7 p.m. and airs on NESN.

Looking ahead
2011 recruit Alexx Privitera scored his 7th goal of the season in Muskegon’s 6-2 win over Youngstown, beating his future teammate, goalie Matt O’Connor, on the shot. Privitera finished + 4 for the evening.

Women’s team
The third-ranked Terriers host Boston College today (2:00 p.m.) at Walter Brown Arena with an opportunity to move ahead of the Eagles into first place in Hockey East. BU, which riding an eight-game winning streak, split a weekend home-and-home with BC in November with each time winning on the other’s home ice.
