Live Chat with Co-captain Joe Pereira today at 12: 30 p.m ET--UPDATED


Hockey East Online hosted Terrier co-captain Joe Pereira for a live chat earlier today. Pereira has a team-leading and career best 10 goals. Transcript.

Adam Clendening and Charlie Coyle earned spots on Hockey East Online’s list of the week’s top performers, along with goalie Kieran Millan, who made 100 saves in three games. Co-captain Chris Connolly’s 100th career game and Garrett Noonan’s first career goal were recognized in the milestones list.

New England Hockey Journal’s assesses the performance of the five freshmen skating regularly in the Terrier lineup: Coyle, Matt Nieto, Sahir Gill, Clendening and Noonan.

Nieto is ranked at #27 in the latest ISS list of 2011 NHL draft prospects.

Looking back
Brandon Yip broke a month-long scoring drought with a pair of goals (video), earning first-star honors in Colorado’s 4-3 win against St. Louis. Kevin Shattenkirk also scored for the Avs. (video—also check out his slick backhand goal in Sunday’s loss to the Bruins). In 37 games, he has a 7-18-25 scoring line. Game recap.

Women’s team
Freshman forward Marie-Philip Poulin’s hat trick in BU’s 4-0 blanking of Vermont earned her a second consecutive Hockey East Rookie of the Week award. The Beauceville, Que., native has won the R-o-W award in five of the past seven weeks.
