Terriers fall in national championship game

The Terriers’ pursuit of a national championship ended one win short of the goal as BU was defeated, 4-1 by top-ranked Wisconsin in Erie, Pa. It was a one-goal game until late in the third period when the Badgers, who hadn’t lost a game since Nov. 28, added an insurance goal and an empty-netter. BU’s only score came on a slick backhand shot by freshman Marie-Philip Poulin, her 24th of the season. Goalie Kerrin Sperry stopped 32 Badger shots.
