Women’s team
Captain Jenn Wakefield (photo) scored a milestone goal and added two assists as the Terriers thumped Boston College, 4-1, at Conte Forum. The senior center’s first-period goal earned her the distinction of being the first Women’s Hockey East player to reach 100 goals. The former Canadian National Team player scored 59 goals in two seasons at the University of New Hampshire and has added 41 more (9 this season) since transferring to BU.

Kathryn Miller provided the eventual game-winner with just a minute to go in the first period. After BC sliced the lead to 2-1, Louis Warren and Isabel Menard added third-period goals to put the game out of reach. Kerrin Sperry turned aside 30 shots to gain her fourth win of the season.
