Game Day BU vs. BC

11^th ranked BU and top-ranked BC clash today at Agganis Arena in the 259^th renewal of the Battle of Commonwealth Ave. Terriers lead the series 127-114-17. Game time is 5 p.m. with live television coverage on NESN.

Both teams registered 3-1 wins Friday night: BU beating Merrimack and BC besting Notre Dame.

Cason Hohmann (photo) and Wade Megan lead BU in scoring with 9 and 8 points respectively. Johnny Gaudreau tops the Eagles with 11. Both teams’ top goalie-Matt O’Connor (BU) and Parker Milner (BC) have GAAs below 2.00.

The opposing coaches, Jack Parker and Jerry York are the top two in NCAA wins among active coaches and have been rivals since their days as high school and college players in the 1960s. Each time they meet, they break the record for the highest combined career-win total in a coaching match-up in NCAA hockey history—Parker 881; York 920.
