Crimson Stun Terriers with Third Period Comeback

The O'Regan sibling clash did not disappoint, but the Terriers defense did, allowing three third-period goals and an OT-winner to Harvard, who won the game 6-5. The Terriers were led by two goals and one assist from Danny O'Regan, whose brother Tom tallied 3 points of his own in the first ever match-up between the two brothers. Matt Nieto pitched in a goal and two assists as well. Wesley Myron and Wade Megan scored the other two goals for BU. Goalie Matt O'Connor struggled, giving up 6 goals for the second straight game, this time on 35 shots.

BU twice led by three goals, but could not hold that lead, as poor coverage allowed for multiple scoring opportunities for the Crimson, who finally began capitalizing in the third period. The loss drops the Terriers to 11-7-0, though they are still tied for 6th in the current Pairwise rankings. Next up for BU: Merrimack, this Friday, at the Volpe Complex.
