Game Day: Terriers vs. Spartans

BU will seek to rebound tonight as it takes on Michigan State at Munn Arena in East Lansing. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. This is BU's third and final game in the Big Ten/Hockey East Challenge.

The teams last met in October 2008 in the Icebreaker Tournament at Agganis, with the home team winning, 2-1, on goals by Chris Higgins and Kevin Shattenkirk . HIghlights   

Terriers last visited Munn Arena during the 1990 NCAA quarterfinals, a best-of-three series. BU dropped the first game to the then-top ranked Spartans, then stunned the college hockey world by winning the next two games--each by a 5-3 score on a third-period rally--to advance to the Final Four.  Game Two highlights. Women's Team
Sarah Lefort's third-period goal proved the game-winner for the Terriers in their home opener, a 2-1 victory over Yale. Maddie Elia scored BU's first goal and Kerrin Sperry stopped 30 shots.
