IBUH #14--Quinn, Ryan, Roy

Episode 14 of Inside BU Hockey features Bernie Corbett’s interviews with Head Coach David Quinn, freshman swingman T.J. Ryan and former BU forward Travis Roy.

A freshman on the Terriers 1995-96 squad, Roy was paralyzed when he missed a check and crashed into the boards at Walter Brown Arena, just 11 seconds into his first shift during BU’s season opener vs. North Dakota.  Today , he is a motivational speaker and an artist, and his  charitable organization, The Travis Roy Foundation, raises funds for spinal cord injury research and for providing life-enhancing adaptive equipment to individuals with spinal cord injuries. His #24 is currently the only retired BU hockey number. Next month it will be joined by  #6, the number of his close friend and former BU hockey coach, Jack Parker.

The Daily Free Press provides updates on the injuries that have depleted the Terrier roster.
