2017 recruit David
Farrance scored four times—three unassisted—as the Syracuse Stars 16U defeated
Springfield, 6-2,
yesterday at the Boston Junior Bruins Shootout. He added an assist in the Stars' second game, a 6-0 win against P.A.L Islanders. The Stars are undefeated in seven USPHL games, oustscoring the opposition, 50-4. Farrance, a defenseman who has points in every game, leads
the team in scoring with an 8-6-14 line.
On Friday, at the USHL Fall Classic, 2015 recruit Bobo Carpenter scored the game-winner
for Sioux City on a shorthanded goal with 1:09 left in regulation, as the Musketeers
edged Omaha, 2-1. He also assisted on Sioux City’s first goal. Last night, the former All-Scholastic center
for Austin Prep scored again; but the Musketeers lost to Sioux Falls, 4-2.
2016 recruit Hank
Crone scored his first USHL goal as Omaha outlasted Des Moines, 9-7.

are in NHL camps on Professional Tryouts: Brandon Yip (Anaheim), Justin Courtnall
(Islanders) and Ryan
Whitney (St. Louis).

ex-Terriers are in NHL camps: John Curry and Charlie Coyle, Minnesota; Colin
Wilson and Garrett Noonan, Nashville; Alex Chiasson and Eric Gryba, Ottawa;
Kevin Shattenkirk and John McCarthy, St. Louis; Matt Nieto, San Jose; David van
der Gulik, Los Angeles; and Adam Clendening, Chicago.
BU’s 2009 national championship team has advanced to the second round of the NCAA Frozen
Four’s Finest tournament, which aims to determine—by fan vote— the best
college hockey team ever. The Terriers overwhelmingly
“beat” the 2001 BC Eagles with nearly 80% of the vote. BU moves on to a
second-round matchup with the 1985 RPI national champs.

Women’s Team
Six current skaters
and five former Terriers were named to the 58-player
roster for Canada’s Fall Festival. Current BU players invited: seniors
Marie-Philip Poulin and Shannon Doyle, Junior Sarah Lefort, sophomore Samantha
Sutherland and freshmen Victoria Bach and Rebecca Leslie. Former Terriers: Jenn
Wakefield ('12) and Tara Watchorn ('12), 2014 Clarkson Cup champion Jenelle
Kohanchuk ('13) and 2014 graduates and Hockey East First Team All-Stars Kaleigh
Fratkin and Louise Warren.
