Journey starts in Manchester

The #2 ranked Terriers will begin their 33rd NCAA tournament appearance on Friday with a first-round match-up against Yale. BU practiced today at Agganis Arena and then headed north to the Verizon Arena in Manchester, N.H., the same regional tournament venue as in 2009. Before departing, the Terriers heard from  All-American forward--and longtime NHLer--Mike Grier who helped to power BU's 1995 national champions.

►Eichel was interviewed on SiriusXM-NHL Network Radio about his season. BU Hockey Historian Sean Pickett has updated his freshman scoring records to show that Eichel is now the record holder with 66. Click the tab for senior scoring to see that Evan Rodrigues is tied with Chris Drury for 10^th for scoring by a senior with 57. The record holder there is Rick Meagher with 80 points in 1976-77.

Looking ahead

2018 recruit Jake Wise (photo) was named to SB Nation’s Massachusetts High School All-Star First-Team.  The freshman at Central Catholic also earned SBN's "Rookie of the Year" designation.

USA Hockey interviewed 2016 recruit Clayton Keller, who scored a team-best 59 points (25G, 34A) for the NTDP U17s before being added to the U18 roster.

Hockeyprospect.com interviewed 2015 recruit Jordan Greenway. With nine points in his last five games, the 6-5 wing has 35 points in 42 games this season for the U18s.

Two future Terriers are in Amherst, N.Y. to play in the Tier-1 youth national tournament: David Farrance with the Syracuse 16Us and Kole Sherwood (photo) with the Ohio Blue Jackets 18Us. Farrance was in Ann Arbor last week for the NTDP evaluation camp, as was 2018 recruit Logan Cockerill, where he earned praise from several observers in the scouting community.
