Baillargeon, who centers BU's third line, scored his first goal of the season against Denver, earning third-star honors. The Enfield, Connecticut native is looking to return to his freshman form when he led the Terriers in scoring.
A standout forward on the ECAC championship/Frozen Four BU teams, Meagher (right) has begun his 33rd and final season as head coach of the DIII Bowdoin Polar Bears. His teams have accumulated a record of 529-245-54, ranking sixth best in Division III victories. Meagher led Bowdoin to two NESCAC titles and two ECAC titles, earning DIII national coach of the year honors twice. As a Terrier, he scored 142 points (74G, 68A) in three seasons, which ranks 25th on the all-time BU scoring list.
►Yahoo Sports’ Ryan Lambert analyzes the Terriers’ 3-3-0 start with a skeptical, but not unfair eye. Focusing on goaltending and offense, Lambert suggests that, right now, BU’s glass just may be half-empty. Coach David Quinn’s comments indicate he sees the glass half-full, and filling up. It should be noted that Lambert ranks the Terriers at #10 in Division 1.

recruit Jake Oettinger stopped 19 of 20 shots to lead Team USA to a 3-1 win
over The Czech Republic in the opening game of the Five Nations Tournament in
Monthey, Switzerland. The 6’4” netminder from Lakeville, Minnesota received
offensive support from future Terrier teammates Kieffer Bellows and Clayton
Keller, who each scored a goal. Keller assisted on Bellows’ first-period goal.
2016 recruit Chad Krys, who assisted on Keller’s game-winner, earned Best
Player of the Game for the U.S. honors. Next up for Team USA is a match-up with
Sweden on Thursday.
Looking back
Another member of the 2009 national championship team, Eric Gryba, assisted on the game-winner for Edmonton as the OIlers doubled up the Flyers, 4-2.

been named Hockey East Rookie of the Month.
►Saturday’s
home game against #1 Boston College is BU’s Military Appreciation
Game, which is being marked with a free ticket offer. For their hard work and

Former Terrier captain Marie-Philip Poulin has been named
captain of Team Canada at the upcoming Four Nations Tournament in Sweden beginning today. Poulin has worn the Maple Leaf numerous times, including the past
two Winter Olympic Games - and won gold in both 2010 and 2014. She graduated last Spring as BU's all-time leader in goals (81), assists (100) and points (181).
