Grzelcyk, O'Regan sign NHL deals; Looking back: 1995 title game--UPDATED

A pair of Terriers, Captain Matt Grzelcyk and assistant captain Danny O’Regan, who returned for their senior seasons, have signed entry-level contracts with their NHL draft teams.

Grzelcyk signed a two-year deal with the hometown Bruins, who had made him their third-round pick in 2012. A first-team All-American in 2014-15, Grzelcyk scored 95 points during his BU career. His contract begins with the 2016-17 season and he'll now join the AHL Providence Bruins on an ATO.

O’Regan has signed a two-year entry level contract with San Jose. The Needham, Mass., native, who finished his BU career with 154 points, had been the Sharks’ fifth-round draft pick in 2012. He led the Terriers in scoring as a freshman (38 points) and again as a senior (44 points).

Both were Hockey East first-team all-stars this season. Last year, Grzelcyk was named to the first team and O’Regan to the second team and both were first-team all-rookie in 2012-13
