Senior
goalie Sean Maguire has signed a two-year entry level contract with the
Pittsburgh Penguins and will join the Pens’ AHL affiliate in Wilkes
Barre/Scranton on an ATO. Maguire, who was a fourth-round draft pick in 2012,
recorded a 2.41 GAA and a .920 save percentage this season and was named MVP of
the 2016 Beanpot Tournament.

Assistant
captain Matt Lane also signed a pro contract, inking a one-year deal with Buffalo’s
AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans. He had a career high 28 points (14G,
14A) this season and finished his BU career with 69 points. A Rochester native, Lane joins former Terriers
Evan Rodrigues and recently-promoted Cason Hohmann on the Amerks’ roster.

recruit Jake Oettinger prepares for the 2016 World U18 Championship, which
begins next week in Grand Forks, N.D.. The 6-4 netminder from Lakeville, Minn.,
along with fellow commits Clayton Keller, Kieffer Bellows and Chad Krys, was
officially named to the Team USA roster for the World U18s. Team USA’s first opponent will be Russia on
April 14. NHL Network will televise all of Team USA’s games.
