Following
a 10-day break, #5/6 Terriers head down I-95 to begin a home-and-home series
against Providence. Puck drop at Schneider Arena is set for 7 p.m.
Leading
the Friars in both goals (6) and points (14) is sophomore Erik Foley. Freshman
Josh Wilkens has 12 points and junior Brian Pinho has 11. Jake Walman, an
all-Hockey East first team selection last year, anchors the defense while sophomore
Hayden Hawkey has taken over in the Providence goal and has a 2.73 GAA.
BU,
whose offense is paced by Patrick Harper (17 points), Jordan Greenway (13) and
Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson (12), is expected to welcome junior wing Nikolas
Olsson (photo) back into the line-up. However, Tommy Kelley will miss the game with an
injury. Clayton Keller remains out but his recovery is proceeding well and
Coach David Quinn has voiced optimism that he’ll return to the line-up this month.
Having
played only four conference games, BU currently is in sixth place, and Quinn
sees an opportunity to move up with a strong effort against the Friars. He
noted, “If we want to achieve all of our goals, we got to string together some
good performances, and the winning and losing will take care of itself.”

Eichel scored twice in the third period to give Buffalo a come-from-behind 4-3
win against the Rangers. The 2015 Hobey Baker Award winner has three goals in
his two starts following an ankle injury.

tonight at the Huskies’ Freitas Ice Forum. Game time is 7 p.m. BU’s Mary Parker and Victoria Bach are tied
for second in Hockey East scoring with 23 points, while Maddie Elia is tied for
8th with 17 points.
