Playoffs!!; Looking back to the D.C. Miracle

GoTerriers.com report

Looking back
Nine years ago tonight, the Terriers won their fifth NCAA title in what was recently deemed the best Frozen Four championship game of the past 25 years, as BU rallied to defeat Miami in overtime, 4-3. Zach Cohen and Nick Bonino scored extra-attacker goals in the final minute of regulation to tie the score and Colby Cohen’s deflected slapshot provided the winner in overtime, giving BU its fifth–and most important--title of that season.

Former Terrier captain Brian McGuirk has been named the new head coach of The Governor’s Academy, his prep school alma mater where he was an All-New England selection. McGuirk led the 2006-07 Terriers and scored the overtime game-winner against BC in the 2007 Beanpot Championship game.
